Life lessons have taught me to see beyond the first image my eyes record.  I try to find something unique and interesting in the types of objects and surroundings that most of us see every day.  Photography allows me to share our world's color, action, and drama.  The process lets me connect to life, rather that merely being a casual observer.      

I really appreciate our world and the people and other creatures that inhabit it.  My subject matter is therefore diverse.  It gives me great pleasure to capture that certain look on a puppy’s face, or the colorful symmetry in a bit of forest, or even unexpected hues in an old building.  Through photography I can express and communicate these feelings. I firmly believe that with the proper approach just about every image we see can be transformed into an art form that can be enjoyed by everyone.  It is my distinct privilege to participate in this undertaking.  I hope my images show the world clearly and differently.
